Friday Fun: Mel's Hole on Coast To Coast

Mel's Hole on Coast To Coast image

Coast To Coast is a cracking radio show, dealing with the esoteric, hosted by super-cool George Norey.

Streaming out of a bunch of online radio stations, it's easy to find. Talk about chalk and cheese, I listen to it on New York's WABC, which also hosts comedian Rush Limbaugh.

Most Coast To Coast shows are pretty lofty, about UFO's, secret societies, spirits or 2012. Hey, all good fun then.

This show, Mel's Hole on Coast To Coast, is a classic. Hosted by Art Bell, it starts odd - when this guy, Mel, discovers a 15 mile deep hole in his back yard - and dwindles to get downright dumb, when he starts lowering a sheep 1500 feet down another hole, just to see what happens. What transpires isn't supposed to be funny. But it is.

Set aside a little time, 'cos this show's as long as Mel's metric.

Enjoy. And Happy Fridays.
